Graphics card ir responsible for 3D perfomance in games and graphical applications. It is a device to which you will connect one ore more monitors and maybe a TV set. It is important to make sure that chosen graphics card has all the necessary outputs.

Most important factor to choose a graphics card is the GPU (graphics processing unit). This parameter will define the performance of the card, and cannot be upgraded in any other way, except buying a new graphics card.

Graphics cards with matching GPU`s differ by graphical RAM amount and type, aswell as cooling solution and core frequency.

Amount of graphical RAM delivers performance by playing 3D games in high screen resolution. If you consider yourself a gamer and are planning to purchase a large monitor or several, choose graphics card with RAM no less than 1GB.

Cooling solution is very important choice criteria between in other ways similar cards. Better cooling solution can be found in "alternatives".
